Schedule tasks

You can schedule any task that has the Schedule button in its window to run at another time.

Schedule a task

Remote Desktop must be open to perform a scheduled task.

  1. In the task window, click the Schedule button.

  2. Choose when and how often you want the task to execute.

  3. To repeat the task, click Repeating Every, then set the repeat interval.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Save the task where you want it to appear in the Remote Desktop window.

    Scheduled tasks appear in the sidebar on the left of the Remote Desktop main window. When you schedule an automated task, information about the scheduled task is saved on the administrator computer.

Edit or delete scheduled tasks

Learn how to edit and delete saved tasks.

  1. Select the saved task in the sidebar of the Remote Desktop window.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Choose Edit > Delete, or press Delete.

    • Make changes to the task (for example, when or how often it should happen).
